You are here: Business > FAQ's

1. What is the cost of enrolling my business in your appreciation program?

Free…all we ask is that you grant a discount to one of our members once they visit your establishment. We want all businesses, regardless of size or location, to feel comfortable joining our program.

2. Who is eligible to become a member?

Our program was established exclusively for active and retired: Educators/Teachers, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement, Paramedics/ EMT ’s and U.S. Military personnel. In addition, we also allow our members to purchase up to three additional membership cards for immediate family members who live within their household (spouse/partner, child, parent) because we realize that our members are not the only ones spending their income.

3. How can I be sure that your members are active and retired: Educators/Teachers, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement, Paramedics/ EMT ’s and U.S. Military personnel?

We only market our program to these specific professions and once they enroll in our program they are required to enter detailed information regarding their occupation as well as electronically sign a legal disclaimer stating that the information they provided us is true, complete and correct.

4. I already offer discounts to your membership base so why should I enroll my business in your program?

There are two main reasons are: (1) There is no cash outlay for enrolling your business in our program; (2) We offer free advertising to the same market you have already targeted, making this a win-win situation.

In addition, many business currently do offer our members a discount but only when they are in uniform. One of the main issues our members face is that they prefer to maintain their privacy when they are off-duty, yet this is also when they spend the bulk of their income.

5. How often can a member use their membership card at my business?

We established our program with the intent that our members would be able to receive discounts at the same business 365 days a year. However, you may set any type of restrictions you wish regarding the use of our membership card at your establishment (not valid on certain holidays, not valid with any other promotions, etc.). We clearly list these restrictions on the Discounts part of our web site.

6. Who sets the discount amount?

The discount amount you wish to offer as well as restrictions (not valid on certain holidays, not valid with any other promotions, etc.) is entirely for you to decide upon. Keep in mind that we established our program with the intent that our members would be able to receive discounts at your place of business 365 days a year, so please set your discount amount accordingly. Your discount offer as well as restriction information will be clearly listed on the Discounts part of our web site.

In addition, you may modify your discount offer or restrictions at anytime by calling us at 1-877-SEO-MEMBER (736-6362) or by emailing us at Partners Support Team.

7. What can I do about a member who came into my establishment and acted rudely?

Generally, our members are individuals who are well respected within their communities. If a situation does occur where a member acts rudely at your establishment, please obtain their name and membership number (located on the front of the membership card) so that we can contact them in an effort to resolve this situation. You may either call us toll free at 1-877-(SEO-MEMBER) 736-6362 or email their information as well as a detailed summary of the situation to Partners Support Team.

8. I thought there were specific rules and regulations when it comes to offering a City employee (Police Officer or Fire Fighter) a discount?

We are a private company and we offer our members a discount service. Because our members pay for our service we avoid certain rules and regulations that other companies might encounter.
